Adora Svitak: What adults can learn from kids

Child prodigy Adora Svitak says the world needs "childish" thinking: bold ideas, wild creativity and especially optimism. 1. And yet our primary goal seems to be to 'streamline' everyone. The national exam in Indonesia is the crucial component in freeing education institutions to provide an education that promotes these characteristics. Either get rid of the national exam alltogether of provide an accreditation system so school that have the ability to provide an education from 'this' century can recieve autonomy.

  2. Agreed - the first thing to do is allow people to choose the model of education that best suits their individual needs. The mandatory "one size fits all" approach to education does little to encourage the divergent thinking and exercising of imagination encouraged in this video. Of course, it's one thing to be inspired by this clip, something else to act.
